Dalam sepekan, mereka tiga kali berlatih selepas pulang sekolah selama dua jam. Layaknya orang dewasa, latihan yang diberikan kepada anak-anak juga beragam. Seperti memanjat dinding di dalam ruangan dan di luar ruangan yang tantangannya lebih berat.

Tak ada syarat khusus untuk menjadi pemanjat tebing yang handal, asalkan mempunyai bentuk tubuh proporsional. Anak-anak yang berlatih di tempat ini juga mempunyai prestasi menggembirakan, di antaranya merebut gelar juara nasional. Hari Ini Tim Panjat Tebing Sleman akan Turun di Selekcab Bantul

Hari ini, sabtu 2 mei 2009, TIM Pemusatan Latihan Panjat Tebing Sleman akan turun dalam Selekcab Panjat Tebing Bantul 2009. Kehadiran Sleman kali ini adalah sebagai Tim Tamu untuk menyemarakkan kompetisi panjat tebing bantul yang dalam era kepengurusan baru ini baru pertama kali di adakan.

Kehadiran Sleman sebagai bentuk dukungan FPTI Pengcab Sleman terhadap segala daya dan upaya untuk memajukan panjat tebing. Selain itu even ini akan dimanfaatkan untuk simulasi kompetisi bagi atlet sleman sendiri untuk menentukan atlet yang akan turun di kelas lead di Porprov 2009 agustus nanti.
